Who Is Kiana?

Kiana Fields is a native Kentuckian – born and raised in Scott County.

Kiana’s love for Central Kentucky stemmed from numerous experiences, ranging from accompanying her father, Donnie Fields, at work at the Kentucky Horse Park to witnessing her mother, Kimberly Vinegar, establish and fight for her small business, A&K Child Development Center and spending time at Georgetown College’s bakery.

These experiences, alongside an incredible village of family and friends, instilled in Kiana the core values of hard work, persistence, integrity, service, and the power of community for working families.

A cornerstone of Kiana’s career has been her exceptional ability to unite people across differences and navigate difficult conversations with skill and grace. Throughout her time as an educator, consultant, and advocate, she has consistently fostered collaboration, even in the face of deep divides. Her resilience and unwavering determination propel her forward, regardless of the challenges she encounters. Rooted in compassion, Kiana’s expertise empowers her to view problems from multiple perspectives, enabling her to develop thoughtful, innovative solutions that drive meaningful outcomes.

Serving Others

Kiana believes that serving others is the true measure of a legacy. Through her work in post-secondary education, she has dedicated herself to the betterment of Kentucky and its people. Her love of education began with her journey through the Scott County Public School System, where numerous dedicated teachers encouraged and supported her.

These fundamental experiences shaped Kiana’s approach as an educator and researcher focused on improving the opportunities and health of all Kentuckians.

Kiana has dedicated her career and received awards recognizing her work supporting the next generation of leaders and professionals entering the workforce. She believes that education blended with life experiences helps to create new opportunities and solutions for our Commonwealth.

As a neighbor, daughter, family member, friend, working professional, etc., Kiana recognizes the challenges and opportunities facing her fellow neighbors in the district and across the Commonwealth.

With a blend of compassion, determination, and a steadfast commitment to protecting our shared values and freedoms, Kiana stands ready to serve our neighbors in District 17.

She will continue to carry the hopes and life lessons of her upbringing to push her vision for a stronger, more united Kentucky for generations to come.
